ATTICUS *SOLD*

For sale as seen here, `Attticus` is a lovely large wooden rocking horse by the top maker F H Ayres, from c1940.

Please be aware that we have had a great many enquiries regarding Atticus and us restoring him, but we must be clear that he is only for sale as he stands and appears in his photographs right now, sadly we are not able to offer to restore or finish him in your desired design/colours/ mane and tail colour choice as we simply do not have the time.

We love him as he is but if you wish to have him painted then you would need to book him in with your own chosen restorer.

As with all fine rocking horses, he has some lovely detail, and has lifelike glass eyes with a very friendly face and good solid proportions, so would be a great addition to any home. 

 F H Ayres are known as the ‘Rolls Royce’ of rocking horse makers and a horse of this quality would most likely have been sold in Harrods and Selfridges. A lovely horse, he is  just looking for his new home with you.

He measures;

46 inches / 117 cm from the floor to the top of the ears

54 inches / 137 cm as the total length of the stand base

17 inches / 43 cm as the total width of the stand base

34 inches / 87 cm from the floor to the saddle

22 inches / 56 cm from the floor to the top piece of the stand
