JUDY * SOLD *

‘Judy’  is an extra large sized Paul Leach rocking horse from 1896. She is in excellent condition, having been fully restored 18 years ago with the addition of a new mane, tail and forelock to her original colours. Her leatherwork is immaculate, with twin pommels to her saddle , plus fixed bridle with original style fulmer bit and double reins. She has glass eyes, a beautifully carved delicate face and mouth with a tongue and a muscular body with the proportions of a real horse.

Judy’s stand is strong and stable and is in keeping with a piece of her age, with wavy runners and beautifully turned posts. She has an original plaque fitted and shown in the photographs which detail her being given in 1896, so she is 125 years of age.

Judy would make a wonderful focal point to any room. She is an antique horse in great condition and a real statement piece to proudly display.
