MAXIMUS *SOLD*

Maximus is a very rare and special F H Ayres ‘D’ type rocking horse in original condition. He is a very large 53″ tall and retains his original paint, tack and hair. We have given him a replacement tail for the photos however his new owner prefers his original cow hair tail and he has had it refitted. Both mane and tail have been washed!

The ‘D’ type was the best quality horse made by F H Ayres and dates to around 1900. These are highly sought after and rarely come to market –  a true collectors piece. Maximus came to us from a private collection.
