TOBIAS *SOLD*

Description

‘Tobias’ is a rare A W Gamage of London rocking horse on a safety stand.

Circa 1900, he has his original cowhair mane and tail, glass eyes, and a fixed leather bridle and saddle.The tack has some really fine decorative nails and fancy studs, showing he was an expensive horse when he was new.  He has the Gamage Ltd of Holborn plaque fixed to the front of his stand, which shows he was sold in their store at 116 – 128 Holborn London EC, which were selling goods from 1878 until as recently as 1972.

A really rare find which is truly exciting – we have never seen another here and he must be one of only a few remaining.
